Our Story
Living Life Naturally
We established Lucki 7 Livestock Company in 1997 to produce our own food and have control of what our family of 7 would be eating. Our family farm is located in northern New York, at the base of Tug Hill, a region known for its fertile soils and agricultural advantages. The climate and ample moisture make it an ideal environment for farming. What began as feeding our family healthy food gradually grew into providing fresh, local food to many others. Along with offering nutritious, fresh food to our family and community, we were also committed to caring for the land and improving it beyond its original condition when we first purchased our 320-acre farm.
On the farm we raise old fashion pork breeds such as Berkshire, Gloucester Old Spot and Duroc, along with White Dorper sheep. Additionally, we raise Herefords and Black Angus cattle. We offer these traditional breeds because they produce a higher quality product and we believe it’s important to preserve these breeds for future generations.
Our livestock are 100% free from antibiotics, added hormones, and animal proteins (with the exception of mother's milk). They are free to go and roam outside on lush green pasture or stay inside the Lucki 7 Livestock barn in deeply bedded pens. We are proud to be a NYS Grown & Certified producer, meaning we adhere to strict food safety and environmental sustainability standards, both being core principles to our mission at Lucki 7.
